At Harley-Davidson of Kokomo, you
won’t just find motorcycles. You’ll find a
caring, dedicated team ready to serve all
your riding needs.
Store owner and general manager Ryan
Clevenger has been at the Kokomo deal-
ership for 10 years, and in that time, he’s
seen hundreds of people visit the store,
and he’s visited quite a few other stores
around the country. Clevenger believes
his store stands out for two reasons: com-
munity involvement and a great staff.
The Kokomo dealership is ingrained
in the community, Clevenger said. They
host several charity events throughout
the year and provide giveaways for other
community events. They host rides for
veterans, as well as appreciation days
throughout the year.
“We’re more than just a business here,”
Clevenger said. “We really try to tie our-
selves into the community.”
His staff is also a big part of the store’s
success.
“From the sales department, the office
people, our service guys, they’re the
most respectful, friendly customer ser-
vice people,” Clevenger said. “Customers
come from all over the state because of
how we treat people here at our dealer-
ship.”
The Kokomo dealership has the awards
to prove this level of customer service,
too. In 2016, the Kokomo dealership was
named one of the top 6 in the nation out
of hundreds of other dealerships. They’ve
also won nine Gold Bar & Shield Awards,
a prestigious award presented by Harley-
Davidson Motor Company.
This kind of recognition is huge, Clev-
enger said, because for Harley-Davidson
customers, it’s about more than motor-
cycles.
“Harley-Davidson is unlike any other
brand,” Clevenger said. “Our customers
come for the bikes, the accessories in the
shop, to get their bikes worked on in the
shop, for the MotorClothes.”
They also come for the experience.
“Harley-Davidson is a destination no
matter where you are,” he said. “The rid-
ers will find you. They want to stop into
the dealership, get a t-shirt with our store
name on it. It’s not like the car industry.
You don’t see people driving from dealer-
ship to dealership.”
For most Harley-Davidson riders, it’s
more than just a brand and it’s more than
just a vehicle.
“From the very beginning, Harley-
Davidson is a way of life,” Clevenger said.
“It gives you a hobby. It gives you freedom,
a way to make friends. We have people
make friendships with the staff and with
other riders they meet at the dealership.”
Clevenger loves to make these kinds of
connections with customers. He likes to
ask themabout their home dealership and
what types of rides they go on.
“Our customers always have cool sto-
ries,” he said.
The Harley-Davidson Kokomo deal-
ership offers an array of products and
services, including top-of-the-line bikes
and parts with a top-notch service team
to fix andmodify motorcycles to fit a cus-
tomer’s needs.
Those interested in learning how to
ride a motorcycle can take advantage of
their riding academy, where professional
instructors teach learners how to stay safe
on the road while riding Harley-Davidson
bikes.
They also offer clothing in the Motor-
Clothes department, allowing customers
to show their loyalty and pride as a Har-
ley-Davidson fan with casual and riding
apparel.
Harley-Davidson of Kokomo is located
at 335 S. 00W. The store’s phone number
is 765-864-9999, and they can be found
