Mrs. Bowman and her husband, Fred, operated Bowman's Grocery Store in the Steel Bridge community of Overton County from 1947 to 1965. She then worked at the Crawford Head Start Center, and at the Upper Cumberland Development Center until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Livingston, Chapter No. 206. She had a love for music and played the piano for more than 70 years. She was organist for the Livingston Eastern Star for many years, and grand organist for the Tennessee Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Bowman of Fairfield Glade, and Donald and Betty Bowman of Memphis; grandchildren, Sharon Voehringer and William Bowman, Elizabeth Bowman, Fred Bowman and Martha Bowman, all of Memphis; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was born Aug. 16, 1936, in Crossville, the daughter of Lee Adams and Belle Turner.
A resident of Streetsboro since 1964, Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hiram, OH.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna M. Howell of Streetsboro, OH; sons, Ray D. Taylor, and Kevin S. Taylor, both of Streetsboro; sisters, Norma Jean Dixon, and Jennifer (Billie) Lee, both of Crossville, and Ivella Wilker of Soddy-Daisy, TN; brothers, Alfred Adams and Vaughn Adams, both of Jackson, KY, Charles Adams and Chester Adams, both of Crossville, and J.C. Adams of Clifton, TN; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe R. Taylor; son, Keith Taylor; and sisters, Ann Vaughn, Shirley Huddleston, and Louise Miller.
Bishop Robert Berryhill officiated.
Shorts Funeral Home in Ohio were in charge of the arrangements.
