Mr. Pierce was Baptist in faith, a member of the Monterey Masonic Lodge No. 751 and a 1965 graduate of Monterey High School. He was an avid horseman, a member of the Upper Cumberland Horseman Association and a retired sergeant with the Tennessee National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Maureen Bowman Pierce of Monterey; daughters Kim Farley and Becky Pierce, both of Monterey, and Tiffany Bowman of Hanging Limb; mother, Noble Neely Pierce of Monterey; and brother, Donald Pierce of Cookeville.

Mrs. Teague was born Oct. 21, 1926 in Fentress County, TN, daughter of William Wesley Woods and wife, Clementine Stephens Woods. She was a merchant and a member of Unity Faith.
