She had made her home in Lebanon, TN, since 1995, and was a member of First Methodist Church there at the time of her death.

As an employee of Martin Marietta Energy Systems for 45 years, he played a leading role in the building of Lithium Plant at Y-12, was manager of the Utilities and Shift Superintendent Operations and was eventually assigned the oversight responsibility for security operation at all sites operated by Martin Marietta at Portsmouth, OH, Paducah, KY, and Oak Ridge. He retired in 1989.
He was a past president of the Oak Ridge Rotary Club and served as governor of his district and was active in many other community service organizations.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans and of the Church of God faith. He retired from General Motors where he was employed as an auto assembler.
