KENNETH EARL ELDRIDGE
Kenneth Earl Eldridge, 63, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Sept. 19, 2000, in Memorial North Park Hospital in Hixson, TN. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 22 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Algood Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Smith officiated, with special music by John Riley.
Mr. Eldridge was born Oct. 7, 1936, in Putnam County, TN, the son of Clarence and Lucille Caruthers Eldridge.
He was a self-employed owner of a truck stop.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Selvage Eldridge of Chattanooga; daughter, Vicki Eldridge of Crossville; son, David Eldridge of Crossville; stepson, Steve Wells of Chattanooga; sister, Judy Riddle of Crossville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lucille Caruthers Eldridge; two daughters, Jamie Eldridge and Kim Eldridge; and a stepdaughter, Sylvia Wells.
Pallbearers were Carson "Bubba" Parsons Jr., Glenn Parsons, Donnie Parsons, Douglas Beck, Kirk Hall and Carson Parsons Sr.

FRANK SAPP
Frank Sapp, 98, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 24, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 27 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Thomas Springs Cemetery. Joe Campbell and Greg McCoy officiated.
Mr. Sapp was born May 6, 1902, in Bledsoe County, TN, the son of Hill and Jennie Sapp.
He was a coal miner.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Sapp of Crossville; sons, Bob Sapp of Washington, LA, Leamon Sapp of Kelso, WA, David L. Sapp of Pontiac, MI, James Sapp of Troy, MI, and Joe Sapp of Crossville; daughters, Helen Moore of Bakersfield, CA, Ila Dalziel of Washington, Millie Nichols and Opal McCoy, both of Crossville; Della Laythem of Greenville, SC, and Connie Melhorn of Knoxville, TN; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; seven great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hill and Jennie Sapp; two daughters, Iva Scarborough and Virginia Cox; and a son, Nathaniel Sapp.
Pallbearers were his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were his great-great-grandsons.

MARY JANE BALDWIN
Mary Jane Baldwin, 84, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 19, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 22 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Woody Cemetery. The Rev. Hank Jones and the Rev. Wayne Matthews officiated, with special music by Bruce and Molly Wyatt.
Mrs. Baldwin was born Nov. 6, 1915, in Cumberland County, the daughter of James and Harriet Ann Wyatt Woody.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Velma Christopher of Crossville; sons, Roy Woody of Crossville and Vernon Baldwin of Xenia, OH; son-in-law, Ernest Phipps of Nashville, TN; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ford of Sparta, TN; brother, Meade Woody of Crossville; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Harriet Woody; John and Pamelia Woody, who raised her; husband, Roy Baldwin; two sons, Ridley Baldwin and Kermit Baldwin; one daughter, Wilma Phipps; three sisters, Pearlie Burke, Rachel Burke and Martha Cox; and a brother, Hampton Woody.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

CHESTER EARL HAYES
Chester Earl Hayes, 80, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 22, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 24 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. The Rev. Russell Honeycutt officiated.
Mr. Hayes was born May 4, 1920, in Cumberland County, the son of Clem and Stacy Adams Hayes.
He was a hardware buyer for Bilbrey Hardware Store, and of the Methodist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Hayes of Knoxville, TN; and two grandsons, Michael Hayes of Blacksburg, VA, and Jason Hayes of Knoxville.
Pallbearers were Bill Williams, Howard Huddleston, Dewey Williams, Michael Hayes, Jason Hayes and Thomas Cale.

DOROTHY JONES
Dorothy Jones, 80, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Sept. 22, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 25 at Christ Lutheran Church in Fairfield Glade, with entombment today, Sept. 27, at Christian Memorial in Rochester Hills, MI.
Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Brattleboro, VT.
She was employed in the manufacturing of flatware.
Survivors include her husband, Ned Jones of Fairfield Glade; daughters, Jennifer Flannigan of Jackson, TN, Margo Sampson of Syracuse, NY, Betty M. Zentz of Novi, MI, and Donna Jones of Palm City, FL; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were members of Mrs. Jones' family.

OVA KATHLEEN SIMMONS
Ova Kathleen Simmons, 62, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 20, 2000, in Cumberland Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 23 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Lone Wood Cemetery. The Rev. Vern Daugherty officiated, with special music by the Lone Wood Singers.
Ms. Simmons was born Oct. 11, 1937, in Van Buren County, TN, the daughter of Elmer and Allie Hutchenson Simmons.
She was an nurse, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Ronnie Hale of Crossville; daughter, Doris Cox of Crossville; sister, Thelma Simmons of Manassa, VA; brothers, J.C. Simmons of Spencer, TN, and Huel Simmons of Murfreesboro, TN; former husband, Marvin Hale of Crossville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Witsell, Ricky Cox, Dewayne Hale, Larry Burgess, Harless Wood and Jerry Simmons.

BENNIE JEAN CLARK WALL
Bennie Jean Clark Wall, 72, of Sparta, TN, passed away Sept. 25, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m. at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery.
Visitation will be tonight at 6 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wall was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Overton County, TN.
She was employed at Federal Mogul in Sparta.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Clark and Barbara Wall of Smithville, TN, and Joe Steven and Teri Wall of Sparta; sister, Marie Sevier of Crossville; brothers, Harrison Kendrick Clark and Richard Clark, both of Sparta, and Joe Pat Clark of Cookeville, TN; and three grandchildren, Bryan Brown, Rachel Wall and Sarah Wall.

DARWIN J. ZANDSTRA
Darwin J. Zandstra, 74, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Sept. 23, 2000. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wayne Benson will officiate.
Mr. Zandstra was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of John and Gertrude Ensing Zandstra.
He was a credit manager for Westinghouse Co., and a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Vandermolen Zandstra of Fairfield Glade; son, Don Zandstra of Flushing, MI; daughters, Wanda Taylor of Lowell, MI, and Sally Dewindt of Morley, MI; brothers, James Zandstra of Wyoming, MI, and Larry Zandstra of Grandville, MI; sisters, Jean Slagter of Portland, OR, and Marlene Waters of Ludington, MI; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Cumberland County or the American Cancer Society.

JAMES NORMAN DYER
James Norman Dyer, 66, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 18, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 21 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Burgess Cemetery. Leslie Hickie and Tommy Slaton officiated, with military rites performed by VFW Post No. 6277.
Mr. Dyer was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Cumberland County.
He was a maintenance worker, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Dyer of Crossville; sons, James Dyer Jr. of Oklahoma and Dale Dyer of Crossville; daughter, Bonnie Herbert of Ohio; brothers, Douglas Dyer and Carroll Dyer, both of Crossville; sisters, Janice Turner, Lou Wyatt and Sue Owens, all of Crossville; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Turner, Thomas Dyer, Robert Dyer, Jason Owens, Jody Smith, Richard Wyatt and Calvin Turner.

DR. FREDERICK W. MUNSON
Dr. Frederick W. Munson, 91, of Pleasant Hill, a longtime area physician and surgeon, passed away Sept. 23, 2000, at Wharton Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Community Church, with the Rev. Ed Schneider officiating.
Dr. Munson was born Jan. 17, 1909, in Streator, IL, the son of Frederick L. and Beatrice Roberts Munson.
He attended Streator area schools and received bachelor's and medical degrees from Northwestern University and its medical school in Evanston, IL, before entering medical practice in Streator in the early 1930s. On June 30, 1936, he married Helen Lohela, a Streator school teacher.
During World War II, Dr. Munson served in England and France as a U.S. Army physican, and after the war entered medical practice in Chicago, where he served a surgical residency at Wesley Memorial Hospital and later joined the faculty of Northwestern Medical School. During the 1960s, Dr. and Mrs. Munson served as missionaries in India under the Board of World Ministries of the United Church of Christ, primarily at the Christian Mission Hospital in Madurai, South India.
In 1968, the couple settled in Pleasant Hill, and for more than two decades Dr. Munson was on the medical staffs of the Cumberland Medical Center and the Cumberland Clinic in Crossville. He also served as an attending physician at the Wharton Nursing Home, and was active in the church and community.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Munson, a resident of Wharton Nursing Home; two sons, William Munson of Huntsville, AL, and John Munson of Calumet, MI; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a special memorial fund established at Uplands Retirement Village, P.O. Box 168, Pleasant Hill, TN 38578. The mission of Uplands, associated with the United Church of Christ, is to provide a caring, financially sound retirement community; promote affordable choices for secure, independent living; and assist those requiring supplemental care in their retirement years. Uplands is a member of the Council for Health and Human Service Ministries of the United Church of Christ.

EVA LUCILLE WILSON
Eva Lucille Wilson, 83, of Monterey, TN, passed away Sept. 22, 2000, at Cumberland Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 24 from the chapel of Horner Funeral Home in Monterey, with burial in Campground Cemetery in Fentress County, TN. The Rev. Gerrald R. Bland, the Rev. Barry Purser and the Rev. DeWitt Sampley officiated.
Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Monterey, the daughter of John Calvin and Fannie Henry Parrott.
She was a longtime employee of the Monterey Hosiery Mill, and with her husband, the late Dave Wilson, she owned and operated Wilson Grocery in Monterey. She was a member of Monterey First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Mary Wilson of Monterey; grandchildren, Tony and Scott Conner of Cookeville, TN, and Robin and Kevin Jacobs of Gallatin, TN; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Conner and Noah Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Fannie Parrott; her husband, Dave Wilson; a daughter, Myrna Joan Wilson; and five brothers, Paul Parrott, Bob Parrott, Oscar Parrott, the Rev. Bill Parrott and the Rev. J.E. "Buster" Parrott.

MYRTLE WILSON
Myrtle Wilson, 76, of Cookeville, TN, passed away Sept. 23, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted today, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey, TN, with interment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The Rev. Ovle Tinch and the Rev. Frank Davis will officiate.
Mrs. Wilson was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Overton County, TN, the daughter of Andy and Clora Vaughn McCowan.
She was a homemaker, and worked as a dietitian in the Putnam County School System. She was a member of the Algood First Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of almost 57 years, R.G. Wilson of Cookeville; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Don Stroud of Columbus, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Jean Wilson of Crossville; sister, Cliva Phipps of Monterey; brothers, Homer McCowan and A.C. McCowan, both of Monterey; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Clora McCowan; two sisters, Evelyn Kirby and Noble Melton; and three brothers, Thurston McCowan, Holly McCowan and James McCowan.

DOUGLAS JANOW
Douglas Janow, 63, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 17, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 20 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. The Rev. Reed Jones officiated. Presentation of the Flag and Firing Detail were by American Legion Post #163.
Mr. Janow was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Wayland, KY, the son of Grover Franklin and Rachel Lee Russell Janow.
He was a factory worker, and of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Gene Taylor Janow of Crossville; daughter, Pamela Jean Brown of Crossville; sons, James Douglas Janow, Timothy Wayne Janow and David Lynn Janow, all of Crossville, and Leslie Royal Janow of Corryton, TN; brother, Frankie Janow of Rockwood; sister, Peggy Ann McKinney of Rockwood; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were the American Legion Post #163.

CATHERINE BORIE
Catherine Borie, 87, of Decatur, AL, passed away Sept. 17, 2000. A memorial service was conducted Sept. 19 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Decatur, with Dr. Randon H. Jackson officiating.
Mrs. Borie was born Jan. 29, 1913, in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Eben and Lomie McCarty Horton.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Richard D. Borie Jr. of Decatur, AL, and Charles E. Borie of Crestview, FL; two grandsons; two step-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

HAROLD RAY CLINGERMAN
Harold Ray Clingerman, 70, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 11, 2000, in Cookeville General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 15 at Behm Funeral Home in Madison, OH, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. A memorial service was held Sept. 18 at Lantana Rd. Baptist Church.
Mr. Clingerman was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Marion, OH, the son of Carl and Hazel Orth Clingerman.
He was retired from Rockwell International, and was a member of Lantana Rd. Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Clingerman of Crossville; stepsons, Earl Yankie of Ashtabula, OH, James Yankie of Geneva, OH, Daniel Yankie of Lakeland, FL, and Jeff Yankie of Crossville; stepdaughter, Sharon Juncker of Lynwood, NC; stepbrothers, Mike Murphy of Louisville, KY, and Daniel Murphy of Lake City, FL; 13 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

MARY EVELYN QUINN
Mary Evelyn Quinn, 66, of Berea, KY, passed away Sept. 12, 2000, in Lexington, KY. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 15 at Mayland Baptist Church, with burial in Mayland Cemetery. Delmar McCowan officiated.
Mrs. Quinn was born May 1, 1934, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Willie Claude and Thelma Sutton Phipps.
She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, James Quinn of Berea, KY; sisters, Margaret Shepherd of Richmond, KY, Syble Cornett of Crystal Lake, IL, and Phyliss Ison of Fairfield, KY; and brothers, Robert Phipps of Georgetown, KY, Joseph Phipps of Tazewell, TN, Willie Claude Phipps of Crossville and Douglas Phipps of Frankfort, KY.

MARY ANN WILSON
Mary Ann Wilson, 72, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Sept. 17, 2000, in Cumberland Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conceptions Cemetery in Wexford, IA, with Father Lewis Trzil officiating.
Mrs. Wilson was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Bancroft, SD, the daughter of Peter and Margaret Crowe O'Hara.
She was a retired registered nurse, and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade.
Survivors include her husband, Wilbur Wilson of Fairfield Glade; son, Steven O'Hara Wilson of Eagan, MN; brother, James O'Hara of San Diego, CA; sister, Catherine Benkert of Madison, WI; and two grandchildren.

THOMAS J. CLARK
Thomas J. Clark, 87, formerly of West Milford, NJ, and Palm Bay, FL, passed away Sept. 9, 2000, in Crossville. A prayer service was held Sept. 10 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, with Fr. Patrick Brownell officiating. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in West Milford.
Mr. Clark was born Nov. 8, 1912, in Passaic, NJ.
He was owner and operator for over 30 years of Tom Tom Tavern (now the Town Tavern) in West Milford. He was active in the community, being a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the first aid squad, the Elks and Lions clubs and the Tavern Owners Association, all of West Milford.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathleen Zuk of Crossville; son, James Clark, of Crossville; brothers, Vincent Clark of Landing, NJ, and Robert Clark of San Francisco, CA; sister, Elizabeth Brooke of Oklahoma City, OK; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Margaret Mary Hempel; son, Thomas J. Clark Jr.; brother, John Clark; and sister, Marie Joyce O'Shea.

MARK B. MASTERS SR.
Mark B. Masters Sr., 86, of the Crossroads community near Monterey, passed away Sept. 13, 2000, in Cumberland Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 16 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey, with interment in the Love Joy Cemetery. The Rev. David Harris, the Rev. Oliver England, the Rev. M.G. Phillips and the Rev. Odell Ashburn officiated.
Mr. Masters was born Sept. 24, 1913, in Monterey, the son of the late Henry Clay and Mary Brown Masters.
He was a retired coal miner, and a founding member of the Muddy Pond Independent Baptist Church, where he served as deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Delva Marie Howard Masters of the Crossroads community; daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and Arvin Vaughn and Hollis and Elaine Bowman, all of the Crossroads community, and Harlan and Elese Cumby of the Rocky Point community; son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Junior and Ada Masters of Crossville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Daisy Miller, Faith Bowman, Ruth Phillips and Ruby Masters; and three brothers, Luke Masters, John Masters and George Masters.

TED A. MAYER
Ted A. Mayer, 58, of Clarkrange, passed away Sept. 13, 2000. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 15 at Clarkrange Chapel, with the Rev. Dave Rowan officiating.
Mr. Mayer was born Dec. 31, 1941, in Andover, NJ, the son of Theodore and Helen M. Mayer.
He was a 1960 graduate of Newton High School in Newton, NJ, and a graduate of Dover Business School. In 1997, he retired after 33 years of service with the G.P.U. utility district in Newton to live in Clarkrange. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and tinkering with cars.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Mayer of Clarkrange; sons, John Sciortino of Dunnellon, FL, and Eric Mayer of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Tammy Mazzoni of Douglasville, GA; sisters, Connie Cardin and Margie Santucci, both of Kansas City, MO; brother, John Mayer of Milford, PA; and grandchildren, Christian Sciortino of Dunnellon, FL, and Alex Mazzoni and Nicole Mazzoni, both of Douglasville, GA.
Honorary pallbearers were John Post, George Pugliese, Eric Mayer and John Sciortino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Helen Mayer.

ARNOLD TOLLETT
Arnold Tollett, 64, of Elyria, OH, passed away Sept. 17, 2000. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at Reichlin-Roberts Funeral Home in Elyria, with Dr. Peter Mealwitz officiating. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, with full military honors provided by VFW Post #1079.
Mr. Tollett was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Crossville, the son of Beecher and Della Marie Tollett, and lived in Elyria most of his life.
He was the founder and owner of Northwest Vending since 1972. He received an associate degree in mechanical engineering from Elyria Business College. He served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #12; the Elyria Elks Lodge #465; Elyria Moose Club; Elyria Rotary, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow; Spring Valley Country Club; Lorain County Chamber of Commerce; and past president and board member of the Ohio Automatic Merchandising Association. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #150 in Elyria, and was named the St. Agnes Catholic Church Holy Name Society Man of the Year and Lorain County Democratic Party Man of the Year in 1978. He was a member of the Lorain County Democratic Executive Committee, and served as an Elyria city councilman in the second ward for two terms. He was the safety-service director under Mayor Michael Keys from 1986 to 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Anita Hunt Tollett of Elyria; sons, David Tollett and Phil Tollett, both of Elyria; daughters, Rose Boesger, Patricia McConnell and Candace Tollett, all of Elyria; stepsons, Breck Willbond of Phoenix, AZ, and Todd Willbond of Oberlin, OH; sisters, Della Mae Norris and Louise Driver, both of Crossville, Ruth McIe of North Ridgeville, OH, and Patsy York of Richmond, KY; and a brother, Phil Tollett of Crossville.

Mrs. Elmore was born Oct. 22, 1916, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Warren Lawson and Grace Wyrick Martin.
She was a beauty shop operator and owner of Elaine's Beauty Shop, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sister, Hazel Martin of Crossville; sister-in-law, Jerry Martin of Crossville; and several nieces and nephews.

Nannie Pearl Sparks Tabor, 91, of Monterey, TN, passed away Sept. 12, 2000, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Tabor was born Oct. 20, 1908, in Putnam County, TN, the daughter of the late Lewis and Tilda Ann Conley Sparks.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Monterey Wesleyan Church.

William Henry Campbell Sr., 50, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 5, 2000, in the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. A private memorial service was held Sept. 8 in the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Hank Jones officiating.
Mr. Campbell was born July 12, 1950, in Cumberland County, the son of William C. and Sarah Ollie Farris Campbell.
He was a laborer, and of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Tollett was born Jan. 22, 1922, in Cumberland County, the son of Homer and Hattie Godsey Tollett.
He was a school bus driver, and of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Vernia Reed Tollett of Crab Orchard; son, Vincent Tollett of Ozone; daughters, Henrietta Foust of Crossville, Brenda Wendt of Watkinsville, GA, Marilyn Williams of Ozone, and Sylvia Darby and Roxanne Tollett Waltman, both of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Winifred Sherrill of Crab Orchard, Beulah Farmer of Dayton, OH, and Rozelle Kemmer and Shirley Kerley, both of Crossville; brother, Bill Tollett of Crossville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Carmack was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Jackson County, TN, the son of George and Irene Carmack.
He was self-employed at Carmack's Alternator and Starter Repair, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Mrs. Norrod was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Monterey, the daughter of the late Robert and Rinda Vaughn Murphy.
She was a factory worker, of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Monterey Eastern Star Chapter No. 502.
Survivors include her husband, Beecher Norrod of the Love Joy community; sisters, Betty Farley of Love Joy, Lori Norrod of Clarkrange, TN, and Norene Essary of Crossville; and a brother, Damon Murphy of the Crossroads community.

Mrs. Davenport was born June 4, 1904, in Crossville, the daughter of Mark Sherman and Mary Clarissa Ford Bristow.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Grassy Cove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Willette Torian of Ocala, FL, Clara Simpson of Farragut, TN, Elizabeth Hollingsworth of Crossville and JoAnn Baltimore of Atlanta, GA; son, James Davenport of Crossville; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Davenport.

Mr. Dye was born Oct. 15, 1908, in Ball Play, TN, the son of Geness and Nancy Ferguson Dye.
He was a utility operator at Union Carbide, and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Venore Masonic Lodge No. 658, Valley of Chattanooga Scottish Rite and Venore Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Dye of Fountain Inn, SC, and Kenneth Dye of Waynesville, NC; sister, Edith Murphy of Madisonville, TN; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
