Christopher S. Dunn
March 6, 1965 - Jan. 26, 2003
Christopher "Chris" Shawn Dunn, 37, of Sparta, passed away Jan. 26, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 28 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., with graveside services on Jan. 29 in Neverfail Cemetery in Sparta. The Rev. Gene Burgess officiated.
Mr. Dunn was born March 6, 1965 in Crossville, the son of Delmer Dunn and Judy Dunn.
He was a truck driver and a delivery man for Mayfield Dairy.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberley Elaine Dunn and Megan Elizabeth Dunn of Crossville; father, Delmer Dunn of Fentress County; mother, Judy Dunn of Cumberland County; brother, Curtis Shane Dunn of Crossville; and sister, Regina Shubert of Cumberland County.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hughland and Roxie Dunn and Henry and Annie Wightman.
Pallbearers were Dale Dunn, Porter Isles, Lester Sisco, Chuck Wightman, Tim Oakes and Darrell Selby.

Beulah E. Finley
Nov. 11, 1917 - Jan. 25, 2003
Beulah Eileen Sheppard Finely passed away Jan. 25, 2003. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. at Scales Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, TN.
Mrs. Finely was born Nov. 11, 1917 in Marion, IL.
A long time member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, she played piano on Sundays until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Symphony early in its beginning, and later played viola with the Niagara Falls Philharmonic before returning to Tennessee. She was active in the Art Circle Library and taught in Cumberland County's adult reading program. She was also an active volunteer worker with the bloodmobile and the League of Women Voters, and was a poll worker during elections.
Survivors include her sons, James Michael Finely of Rockvale, TN and Robert George Finely of Crossville; daughters, Patricia Lee Finely of Crossville and Pamela Sue Schrader of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jacqueline Marie Finely Bush of Rockvale and Anne Christine Finely Thompson of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Lucas Burton, Colin Thompson, Mauryn Thompson and Aidon Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Finely.

Phillip O. Harris
Jan. 5, 1934 - Jan. 17, 2003
Phillip "Phil" O'Neal Harris, 69, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 17, 2003. Memorial services were held Jan. 20 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home. Bro. Charles Paul officiated.
Mr. Harris was born Jan. 5, 1934 in LaFollette, TN, the son of Walker McKinley Harris and Ann Louise Miller Harris.
He was a real estate broker and of the Methodist faith. He was also a gifted musician, a recipient of the Arion Award and an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Deloros "Dee" Harris of Crossville; son, Phillip Anthony "Tony" Harris of Nashville; daughters, Jane Harris Barker of Clarksville, Jennifer Hope Harris of Cookeville, Emily Harris McCawley of Cookeville and Nancy Harris Palmore of Nashville; grandchildren, Megan Barker, Shannon McCawley, Matthew Barker, Justy McCawley, Jonathan Harris and Daniel Humbert Harris; great-granddaughter, Haleigh Hope Barker; and sister, Helen Kennedy of Winston-Salem, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mackie, Ronnie and Bill Harris.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Juanita Netherton

Juanita Netherton, 48, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 18, 2003. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 21 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. Bros. Thomas Hale Jr. and Jimmy Turner officiated, with special music by Daniel and Crystal Schmidt and sons, Jeremiah, Shawn and Aaron.
Ms. Netherton was born Aug. 20, 1954 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Dallas L. and Ora V. Goodwin Netherton.
She was a member of Crossville Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include brothers and sister-in-law, Dow and Ruth Netherton, Walter H. Netherton, David Paul Netherton and Ernest Wayne Netherton, all of Crossville; and sisters, Evelyn Netherton of Cookeville, Lola Rudolph and Rose Brown, both of Crossville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dillard Franklin Netherton.
Pallbearers were Robert Netherton, Billy Rudolph, David Rudolph, Lonnie Kilby and Tony Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were Tony Cox, Eddie Kilgore, David Morgan and Dr. R.B. Daniels.

Daniel A. Taylor
Jan. 4, 2003
Daniel Andrew Taylor of Doyle, TN passed away Jan. 4, 2003. Memorial services were held Jan. 6 at the Greenwood Baptist Church in Doyle. Jim McCord, Brian Underwood and Fate Wilson officiated.
Mr. Taylor was the son of Elizabeth Ashburn Taylor and the late Dr. Henry D. Taylor.
He was a librarian, employed by the Library and Archives as a library service consultant, and an alumnus of the University of Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy McCord Taylor of Doyle; mother, Elizabeth Taylor of Fairfield Glade; brother, John Taylor of Oak Ridge; niece, Erin Savage of Doyle; and godson, Joseph Daniel Yourski of Sugar Hill, GA.
Donations and memorials may be made to the White County Library Building Fund in Sparta, TN.

Conrad P. Weismuller
Dec. 15, 1935 - Jan. 12, 2003
Conrad Philip Weismuller, 67, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 12, 2003.
Mr. Weismuller was born Dec. 15, 1935 in Atlantic City, NJ, the son of Conrad and Helen Schmidt Weismuller.
He was a resident of Linwood, NJ for 40 years where he was a member of Linwood Community Church and a fuel oil manager. He was a licensed boat captain for 35 years for private fishing boats.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Weismuller of Crossville, sons and daughters-in-law, David and Irene Weismuller of Oakdale, TN and James and Denise Weismuller of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Clark Mathis of Crossville; sister, Lillian van Doren of New Jersey; and five grandsons.
No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to Fredonia Baptist Church or to the American Heart Association.

Louis R. Almquist
Jan. 14, 1924 - Jan. 16, 2003
Louis Richard Almquist, 79, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Jan. 16, 2003. A memorial service was held Jan. 20 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. The Rev. David P. Lampman officiated.
Mr. Almquist was born Jan. 14, 1924 in Biwabik, MN, the son of Louis and Anna Stake Almquist.
He was retired from the Atherton School System in Burton, MI where he taught school, was a high school counselor and a junior high principal. He served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Arsenault Almquist of Fairfield Glade; and son, David Edward Almquist of Burton, MI.
Memorials may be made to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Crossville.

Anna B. Burnett, 88, of Crab Orchard, passed away Jan. 19, 2003. Graveside services were conducted Jan. 21 at Haley's Grove Cemetery. Bro. Winfield Bevins officiated.
Mrs. Burnett was born Dec. 3, 1914 in Cumberland County, TN, the daughter of James Summerfield Baker and Elizabeth Cate Baker.
She was a cook at Cumberland Mountain State Park restaurant and a member of Church of God.
Survivors include her daughters, Ida Gunter of New London, OH and Wilma Hodge of Crossville; sons, John Burnett of North Ridgeville, OH and Joe Burnett of the Philippines; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe John Burnett; son, Lewis Robert Burnett; brothers, Hunter, Ward, Sam, Lewis and Tom Baker; and sister, Margaret Cox.
Pallbearers were Mitch Hodge, David Hodge, Troy Hodge, Josh Ketterer, Lewie Burnett and Dennis Gunter.

Donald "Don" Max Griffet, 51, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 18, 2003. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 22 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Browntown Cemetery. Bro. Ralph Reagan and Terry Barnwell officiated.
Mr. Griffet was born Nov. 23, 1951 in Tipton, IN, the son of Donald Samuel Griffet and Mary Jane Robinson Griffet.
He was a construction worker and of the Christian Church faith.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Deck Griffet of Crossville; son, Jeremiah Griffet of Crossville; daughter, Toyce Griffet of Murfreesboro; mother, Mary Jane Griffet Davis of Anderson, IN; brothers, Sam and Pat Griffet of Anderson, IN; and sisters, Sue Abbot of Virginia and Edris Schults of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Griffet; and stepfather, Cotton Davis.

Mr. Jones was born Dec. 20, 1957 in Crossville, the son of Fred Lynn Jones and Elsie Elmore Jones.
He was a registered nurse and of the Baptist faith.

Tony Charles Kemmer, 39, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 19, 2003. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 22 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Linus Vaughn officiated.
Mr. Kemmer was born Nov. 4, 1963 in Cumberland County, TN, the son of Walter Emmett Kemmer and Katherine Stokes Kemmer.
He was a factory worker at Avery Dennison Co. and a member of Cumberland Worship Center. He was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.
Survivors include his wife, Yvette Sherrill Kemmer of Crossville; daughters, Whitney and Carrie Kemmer, both of Crossville; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Becky Kemmer of Crossville; grandfather, Robert Kemmer; and nieces and nephews, Michael, Felisha, Dylan and Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Effie Stokes; and grandmother, Carrie Kemmer.

Hollis Charles Norrod, 87, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 13, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 15 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in the New Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pastor Clayton Padgett officiated, with special music by Vicki Pickett Smith and Melissa Rose.
Mr. Norrod was born Dec. 22, 1915 in Overton County, TN, the son of Benjamin and Lillie Whited Norrod.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was also an army veteran having served during World War II, and was retired from general processing.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Simmons Norrod of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Olath Harold and Paulette Norrod, Tommy and Marilyn Norrod, Jerry Norrod, Max and Regina Norrod, all of Crossville, and Dale and Lynne Norrod of Columbus, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Bob Rose, Anita and Allen Bowman, and Vera "Janie" and Bruce Rose, all of Crossville; brother, W.B. Joe Taylor Parham, 77, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 19, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 22, 2003 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Parham Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Monday and Bro. Wayne Shadden officiated, with special music by Carl and Brenda Holmes and Susie Cox.
Mr. Parham was born March 25, 1925 in Cumberland County, the son of J.L. Fate and Nancy Jane Tollett Parham.
He was president of UAW and employed by National Cash Register.

Mr. Richards was born April 14, 1956 in Anderson, IN, the son of Herman and Mazel Beaty Richards.
He was a tree surgeon and of the Baptist faith.

Marjorie Link Shelley, 95, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 4, 2003. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 10 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Sarasota Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL.
Mrs. Shelley was born Dec. 5, 1907 in Chicago Heights, IL, the daughter of O.P. and Lillian Schuler Link.
She was secretary of Gulfstream Towers for 11 years, first secretary of the Orange Blossom Club, president of the Sarasota AARP and served as president of Turner, Day and Woolworth Handle Mill Co. in Crossville for seven years.
Survivors include her brother, Norman Link of Salem, IN; nieces, Susan McCarty of Salem, IN and Ruth Ann Milam of Crossville; grandniece, Margee Thomas; great-grandniece, Shelley Thomas; great-grandnephews, Harold Thomas and O.P. Link.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Shelley; and nephew, Perry Link.

Richard E. Shuey Sr.
Aug. 21, 1945 - Jan. 7, 2003
Richard Eric Shuey Sr., 57, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 7, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 11 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Bowman Cemetery. The Rev. Todd McDonald officiated.
Mr. Shuey was born Aug. 21, 1945 in Ann Arbor, MI.
He was a retired fireman from Orange County, FL.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Shuey of Crossville; sons, Craig and Richard Shuey Jr., both of Crossville; daughters, Lauralynn Roberts of Whitmore Lake, Coralee Ferri of Littleton, NC and Kimberlee Thomas of Crossville; mother, Lillian Barwick of Deland, FL; brother, Bill; sister, Ann; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by mother, Waneta Ellen Smith; and daughter, Marleena Marie Shuey.

Denton "Doc" Mitchell Threet, 80, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 19, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. The Rev. Faye and the Rev. Bratton Tucker officiated, with special music by the Rev. Bratton Tucker.
Mr. Threet was born March 11, 1922 in Wilder, TN, the son of William Harrison and Mary Jane Winningham Threet.
He was a retired maintenance worker for Catoosa Knitting Mills having also worked maintenance at Cumberland Mountain State Park for 12 years. He was an Army veteran, having served during World War II, and a member of Homestead Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Threet of Crossville; sons and daughter-in-law, Mitch Threet and Steve and Peggy Threet, all of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Royce Burgess of Crossville; brothers, Benton Threet, Vinston Threet and Walter Threet, all of Crossville; grandchildren, Charlie Threet, Kallie Threet, Jo Bryson, Eric Burgess, Jack Threet, Michael Threet, Meredith Threet and Tessa Burgess; and great-granddaughter, Julie Brook Bryson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clinton Threet; and sister, Christine Emery.

Delia Vaughn, 94, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 17, 2003. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with burial in Welch cemetery in Monterey. Bro. Ralph Reagan officiated.
Mrs. Vaughn was born Sept. 29, 1908 in Overton County, TN, the daughter of Bill and Vernia England Howard.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Vaughn of Crossville; son, Billy C. Vaughn Sr.; grandsons, Terry Lee Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn, Bill Vaughn Jr., Kevin Vaughn and Brian Vaughn; granddaughters, Sharon Lewis and Karen Randolph; and six great-grandchildren.

Juanita B. Wyatt, 87, passed away Jan. 22, 2003. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 25, beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. Mike Kerley will be officiating.
Survivors include her children and their families, Adrian of Guntersville, AL; Evelyn Phipps of Cullman, AL; Boyd, Sherley, Horace L., Andy and Norman of Crossville; and Luke of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Horace J. Wyatt.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to be made to Dr. Adrian Rogers of Bellevue Baptist in Memphis, whose ministry was a great comfort to Mrs. Wyatt in her last few months. Hope Alexandra Manning, 5, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 13, 2002. Private funeral services were conducted Dec. 18 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Linary Cemetery. Bro. David Williams officiated, with special music by the Pomona Gospel Aires.
Hope was born Aug. 17, 1997 in Cumberland County, the daughter of Monica Manning.

Mr. Qualls was born April 26, 1930 in Overton County, TN, the son of Joe Wheller and Lee Ethel Looper Qualls.
He was married to Betty Louise Blaylock Qualls on Dec. 22, 1948, and to this union, five children were born. He had farmed with the UT Agricultural Extension Farm in Crossville.

Mr. Weismuller was born Dec. 15, 1935 in Atlantic City, NJ, the son of Conrad and Helen Schmidt Weismuller.
He was a resident of Linwood, NJ for 40 years where he was a member of Linwood Community Church and a fuel oil manager. He was a licensed boat captain for 35 years for private fishing boats.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Weismuller of Crossville, sons and daughters-in-law, David and Irene Weismuller of Oakdale, TN and James and Denise Weismuller of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Clark Mathis of Crossville; sister, Lillian van Doren of New Jersey; and five grandsons.

Ms. Williams was born Jan. 24, 1958 in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of Carolyn Pigott Erambert of Melbourne, FL and the late Mathias T. "Bud" Williams.
She was an art and elementary school teacher and a member of the Tennessee Educational Association. She had taught in South Carolina and Tennessee. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fairfield Glade.
Survivors include her step-father, Gerald F. Erambert II of Melbourne, FL; sister, Lucia Christine Gauthier of Coeur d'Alene, ID; brothers, Luther Lee Williams and Matthew T. Interment followed at Roane Memorial Gardens, with military honors provided by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The Rev. Charles Kelley officiated.
Mr. Crabtree was a member of the Clymersville Baptist Church, a retired U.S. Army veteran with 22 years of service and a member of the Rockwood VFW. He was a former security guard at Roane State Community College.

He had lived in the Pascagoula area for the past 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #160.

Ollie Imile Rackley Kraska, 84, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 9, 2003. Memorial services were conducted Jan. 13 at West Avenue Church of Christ. Joe Pruett officiated.
Mrs. Kraska was born Jan. 31, 1918 in Clifty, TN, the daughter of James Lee and Lilly Mae Clemmons Rackley.
She was a 1936 graduate of Pleasant Hill Academy and married Homer Bell soon afterward. She has lived all over the country, including Akron, OH; Clifty, TN; Miami, FL; Fairbanks, AK; Los Angeles, CA; Pleasant Hill, Fairfield Glade and Crossville, TN. After retiring as a waitress, she helped care for her elderly mother for 12 years. She met her present husband, Henry Kraska, at the Crossville Senior Center, where they have remained active for over 10 years. She became a Christian 20 years ago, and has been a member at West Avenue Church of Christ for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Kraska; daughter, Joyce Bell Guthrie of Springdale, AR; son, Charles G. Fairbanks of Silver Springs, FL; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Rackley of Fairfield Glade and Jay. E. Rackley of Knoxville; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Flossye Clark; brothers, James Rackley, Donald Rackley and Ro Earl Rackley; two infant brothers; and three husbands.

Mrs. Hayes was born Jan. 14, 1930 in Fentress County, TN.
She was a member of Clarkrange Baptist Church.

Vera Lucille Hyder, 77, of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away Dec. 28, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 1 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Lee Davis officiated, with special music by Randall McNew.
Mrs. Hyder was born Feb. 28, 1925 in Morris, AL, the daughter of Frank and Mamie Johnson Greenhill.
She was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.

Virginia E. Jarvis, 66, of North Eaton, OH, passed away Jan. 7, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The Rev. Jim Gordon will officiate.
Mrs. Jarvis was born in Cumberland County, TN, the daughter of Whitley and Bertie Knox.
She worked as a machine operator at the Ford Motor Brookpark Plant for 26 years until her retirement in 1998. Her hobby was card playing.
Survivors include sons, Stephen and Douglas Jarvis, both of North Eaton, OH; daughter, Connie Jarvis of St. Augustine, FL; eight grandchildren; sister, Verna Nail of Crossville; and several nephews and nieces.

Billy G. Redwine, 64, of New Castle, IN, passed away Jan. 7, 2003. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 11 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, with burial in South Mound Cemetery. The Rev. Allen Southerland will be officiating.
Mr. Redwine was born Sept. 9, 1938 in Crab Orchard, TN, the son of the late James Adam and Alice Jewel (Redwine) Hyder.
He was a former employee of Dana Corporation, and owned and operated Redwine Roofing for 38 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Bridgette and Lonnie Radford, Rebecca and Ed Collier, Tonya and John Reno, Betty Ann and Jeff Reynolds, Bobbie and Aaron Hudelson, all of New Castle, IN; daughter and fiance, Angie Sutton and Stewart Karrick of New Castle, IN; companion, Helen Hopkins of New Castle, IN; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Sherrill and Ann Trimble, both of Crossville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Margaret Redwine of Crossville and Herbert and Becky Tanner of Ft. Master Sgt. Floyd W. Thomas, 81, U.S. Army (RET), passed away Jan. 1, 2003. Graveside services were conducted Jan. 6 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. The Rev. Charles Foster Johnson and the Rev. John P. White officiated. Music was provided by the Rev. Dan Stephens.
Mr. Thomas was part of the Civilian Armed Force since 1938, a World War II veteran while in the U.S. Navy Armed Force in the Pacific, served in the Air Force and National Guard, and ended a 28-year career in the military with the U.S. Army in 1976. He was a life member of the VFW Post 8555 of Poth, TX, and also a life member of the CCC and NCOA and an active member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jo Ann Thomas; sister, Minnie Simmons of Crossville; brothers, Litton Thomas of Mountain Home, ID and Victor Thomas of Medina, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bye Thomas, Guy Thomas and Lee Thomas; and two sisters, Jewel Perry and Clara Burgess.

Mr. Walsh was born Oct. 17, 1930, the son of Joseph and Vera Elizabeth Schoenberger Walsh.
He was a retired high school counselor and served in the Navy and the Marines during the Korean War. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Mr. Grauff was born Feb. 13, 1917 in Newark, NJ, the son of Ernest and Beulah Hill Grauff.
He was a member of the Fairfield Glade Lions Club and the Fairfield Glade Community Church, and was a "lifetime member of certified property casualty underwriters." He was also a World War II Navy veteran.

She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was also formerly associated as a sales clerk with Williams 5 & 10 Store in Monterey and Mayberry Furniture in Crossville.

Lynn Wagner, 54, of west Knoxville, passed away Dec. 31, 2002. Funeral services will be conducted Jan. 3 at 1st Christian Church in Oak Ridge, with burial in Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Saturday. The Rev. Ronald Doyle will officiate.
Mr. Wagner was a loving husband, giving father, faithful son and brother, devoted grandfather, and a loyal friend, a self-made man with a flawless instinct for wise business decisions. Recently, with a well-established nursing home business in place, Lynn was free to devote more time to his three greatest loves: family, fishing and golf. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and a Knoxville businessman, the owner of Country Place Health Care Center in Crossville and Erwin Health Care Center in Erwin.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Bailey Wagner of Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Michael Price of Knoxville and Lindsey and Ryan Doyle of Franklin; grandchildren, Aleah and Davis Price and Noah Doyle; parents, Bryan and Anita Wagner of Oak Ridge; brothers and sister-in-law, Daryl and Jenny Wagner of Knoxville and Van Wagner of Oak Ridge; sister, Cheryl Wagner of Oak Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

He was an accountant for the federal government and a U.S. navy veteran who served in World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Diane Drisch of Redmond, WA, Carol D. Panza of Valencia, PA and Laura D. Santora of Scotch Plains, NJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouses, Mary Budney Drisch and Ann Irwin Drisch.

Mrs. Hall was born Feb. 25, 1913 in Fentress County, TN.
She was a member of Springs Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Lloyd Hall of Clarkrange; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Doris Hall of Montgomary, TX, B.L. and Marie Hall of Jonesboro, GA, Douglas Hall of Seveirville, TN and Harvey and Grace Hall of Crossville; brother, Herman Todd of Harriman, TN; sisters-in-law, Helen Todd of Oliver Springs, TN and Mae Garrett of Clarkrange, TN; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hankins was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Hankins; daughter, Charlotte Smith; son, Michael Hankins; grandsons, Tommy Adams and Steve and Chuck Lewis; great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kelsey, Sarah and Travis Lewis, all of Crossville; sisters, Flossie English and Irene Melton, both of Crossville; brothers, Melton, Herb and Richard Smith, all of Kansas City, KA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorsie Ferguson and Mildred Hale; and brothers, Lewis and Waymon Smith.

Alice L. Horner

Alice Leona Horner, 82, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 9, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 13 at the First Presbyterian Church in Crossville, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. The Rev. Glenn Jakes officiated.
Mrs. Horner was born March 15, 1920 in Kasper, WV, the daughter of Edwin and Leona Stubbs Taylor.
She was a bookkeeper and charter member of the First Presbyterian Church in Crossville.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, James and Bonnie Horner of West Bloomfield, MI and Gerald Horner of Sarasota, FL; brother, John Taylor of Weirton, WV; and sister, Laura Killian of Pompano Beach, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Calvin Horner.

Edward C. Kozlik

Edward Charles Kozlik, 80, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Dec. 11, 2002. Memorial services were conducted Dec. 28 at the Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church, with burial in the church columbarium. The Rev. Doug Turner officiated.
Mr. Kozlik was born Nov. 28, 1922 in Chicago, IL, the son of Charles F. Kozlik and Anna Skokan Kozlik.
He was an engineering supervisor for General Motors and member of the Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his son, Tom Kozlik of Grand Rapids, MI; daughter, Jo Anne Rafacz of Midlothian, IL; and 5 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Moseley Kozlik.

James F. Oaks Jr.

James "Red" Frank Oaks Jr., 72, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 24, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 27 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Vern Daugherty officiated.
Mr. Oaks was born July 12, 1930 in Lake City, TN, the son of James F. Oaks Sr. and Nena Alice Atterson Oaks.
He was employed at Kroger's for thirty years and was a member of First Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his sons, Gregory Oaks and Jeffrey Oaks, both of Crossville; and grandchildren, Nicole Oaks and Bradley Oaks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Livesay Oaks, and half-brother, Harry Holmes.
Pallbearers were Ted Robbins, Mike Livesay, Delmer Harville, Mack Tuttle, Jack Livesay and Bradley Oaks.

William Paul Parham II, 56, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 28, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 30 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Parham Cemetery in Bledsoe County. Bro. Joe Masters officiated.
Mr. Parham was born July 24, 1946 in Cumberland County, the son of William P. Parham Sr. and Mae Bright Parham.
He was a painter and of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of VFW.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, William (P.J.) Paul Parham III and Linda Parham of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Darrell Jackson of Crossville; grandchildren, Lexi Parham, Dusty, Danny and Donny Jckson; brothers, Mike, Jeff, Jack and Tom Parham of Crossville; sisters, Jo Ann Burgess, Sue Wyatt and Vicki Amos of Crossville; half-brother, Powell Parham of Crossville; and half-sister, Polly Parham of Nashville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Glenn Parham.

She was preceded in death by her father, Horece Goney, and her sister, Lois White.

Mrs. Sherrill was born March 9, 1916, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Charles and Lou Houston Bristow.
She was a cook, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Sherrill, Dexter Sherrill, Waymon Sherrill and David Sherrill, all of Crossville; daughters, Elizabeth Manning, Jeannett Hale, Mary Lou Rector, Martha Reagan and Margaret Hayward, all of Crossville, and Muriel Vanette of Nashville; 38 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Kate Durham of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Sherrill; sons, Jud, Jim, Frank, Fred and Earl Sherrill; and daughter, Marilyn.

Lauderdale, FL and Betty Lou Nichols of Clarksville, TN.
