Residents of Benzie and Grand Traverse County have a new option when it comes to receiving health care.
Munson Healthcare in cooperation with Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital has opened the Crystal Lake Clinic located west of Interlochen on US-31. The clinic provides a wide spectrum of health care services including radiology, physical therapy, hand therapy, occupational therapy, walk-in laboratory services as well as walk-in patient care.
Dr. Mark Barber and Roberta Herbst, PA-C will be caring for patients at the location, accepting both new patients and walk-ins from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
"This clinic gives people from Chum's Corners, Lake Ann, Interlochen and the areas around here easy access to family health care - from newborns to geriatrics," Herbst said.
The clinic, located at the Benzie-Grand Traverse county, line is designed to meet the projected health care needs for the area, which is growing at more than three percent a year.
"This area is really growing. There is really a need for this here, it is so convenient. It's a very nice facility," said Lake Ann resident, James Loucks as he sat in the clinic waiting room Tuesday morning.
