Central High rolls the dice on ‘Guys and Dolls’

Classic Broadway musical opens November 14 at Central High

   Traverse City Central High School rolls the dice on its fall musical, “Guys and Dolls” which opens November 14 in the school auditorium.

   Based on a story and characters by Damon Runyan and a musical score by Frank Loesser, “Guys and Dolls” is a Broadway classic that has entertained audiences for decades. The fast-paced story line and lively music takes the audience from the heart of New York’s Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba.

   Drama director, Pat Gallagher, music director, Jeff Cobb and choreographer, Erin Peck, once again direct this year’s production. Ellen Boyer is heading up the orchestra.

   Staring in the double cast production are Jeff Linsell and Sam Reese as Sky Masterson; Betsy Spencer and Kristin Cox as Sarah Browne; Brady Corcoran and Brian Holden as Nathan Detroit; Elyse Kamps and Alisha Falberb as Adelaide; Baylee Miller as Nicely-Nicely; Shane Huston and Marcus Martinex as Benny Southstreet.

   “Guys and Dolls” runs from November 14 through November 23. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. The ticket box office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For ticket information, call 933-3573.
