Easter Festival provides hopping good time

Children scramble in a mad dash for plastic eggs containing chocolate and prizes Saturday at the fourth annual Easter Festival, presented by local radio station B-94.3 and Meijer at the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA.


Face painting, coloring, games, and a visit from the Easter Bunny were all part of the activities for children at the annual Easter Festival.

Above: Running, walking or crawling, children of all ages were able to hunt for Easter eggs on soccer fields divided into age groups.

Children in the one to four age group search for Easter eggs with the help of their parents. The Easter Festival, for children ages one through nine, featured more than 5,000 plastic eggs filled with either chocolate or prizes.
