A role model in Washington?

Members of a newly formed student council at Old Mission Peninsula School began their first day on the job today (Wednesday). To help them in their new leadership roles they could look to Washington for guidance. But, then again, maybe that would not be such a good idea right now.

Apparently the student council members have formed their own opinions of the Bill Clinton/ Monica Lewinski controversy, sentiment that seems to leave the commander in chief as less than the best role model.

- "I think it was a wrong move because he was married and that's one of the Ten Commandments: Don't commit adultery."
- Chris Spencer, secretary

- "I think it was very wrong of him to do what he did because he's married and he has children. Some people say he brought in on ... but he's the president of the United States and he should have known better."
- Ashley Wilson, president

- "I can see if he bought her a dress if she was poor, but she came from a wealthy family so there was no need to buy her dresses."
- Emily Ellibee, vice president
