ARREST OF PROPERTY
On October 6, 2006, the United States Attorney for the Western District of New York filed a Verified Complaint for Forfeiture against the sum of $1,002 United States currency pursuant to 31 U.S.C. § 5317(c) and a Warrant and Summons for Arrest of Articles In Rem was issued by the Clerk of the Court. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C., Rule C(6) of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims, any claimant of, in, or to the above-referenced property must file a verified statement of interest/claim with the United States District Court Clerk, Western District of New York, 68 Court Street, Buffalo, NY 14202, under case U.S. v. $1,002, 06-CV-672-E no later than 30 days after the earlier of (1) the date of service of the Governments complaint or (2) completed publication of notice in the Niagara Gazette or within the time that the Court allows, provided any request for an extension of time from the Court is made prior to the expiration of time within which any person must file their verified statement of interest; and must file and serve an Answer to the Governments complaint within 20 days after filing their verified statement of interest.

Notice is hereby given that certified copies of the tax rolls for the fifteen wards of the City of Niagara Falls, New York, as now constituted for the collection of the general city taxes, unpaid water/sewer bills, unpaid installments of local assessments, re-levied taxes and other unpaid accounts for the year 2006 has been received by me together with a warrant directing the collection thereof. Notice is also hereby given that every person, firm, corporation or association assessed therein is required to pay his, her or its taxes to me at the Billing & Collection Division Office in City Hall as follows:
During the month of January 2007, every person, firm, corporation, or association may pay all, and shall pay one-half, of the general city taxes and all of the unpaid water/sewer bills, unpaid installments of local assessments, re-levied taxes and other unpaid accounts without any additional charges.
During the month of February 2007, a penalty of two percent shall be collected upon one-half of the general city taxes and upon all of the unpaid water/sewer bills, unpaid installments of local assessments, re-levied taxes and other unpaid accounts without any additional charges.
During the month of March 2007, a penalty of five percent shall be collected upon one-half of the general city taxes and upon all of the unpaid water/sewer bills, unpaid installments of local assessments, re-levied taxes and other unpaid accounts.
After March 31, 2007, the penalty shall remain at five percent; and interest, at the rate of twelve percent per annum, on the amount of all such unpaid taxes, bills and accounts, plus all penalties, will be computed monthly from April 1, 2007.
During the month of May 2007, every person, firm, corporation, or association shall pay the remaining one-half of such general city taxes without any additional charges.
During the month of June 2007, a penalty of two percent shall be collected upon the remaining one-half of such general city taxes.
During the month of July 2007, a penalty of five percent shall be collected upon the remaining one-half of the general city taxes.
After July 31, 2007, the penalty shall remain at five percent of the remaining one-half of the general city taxes; and interest, at the rate of twelve percent per annum on the amount of all such unpaid taxes, plus all penalties, will be computed monthly from August 1, 2007.
