They were given the opportunity to move to the Homesteads community of Cumberland County. This was a development which began during Franklin D. Roosevelt's administration. The family was one of the original homesteaders, something Jennie was very proud of. In 1961 her daddy, Reason West, died. Jennie continued to live at home and care for her mother.
Her mother died in 1980, and Jennie moved to Knoxville to live with her sister and brother-in-law and their three children. She lived there until December 1997, when she moved to Life Care Center in Crossville.
She was preceded in death by her father, G.W. Parks; her mama and daddy, Alice and Reason West; brother, Clyde West; sisters Mildred West, Wanda Smith, Hazel Silvery, Lorene Oran, and Allie Steuby.

Mrs. Riesz grew up on a farm near Sheboygan Falls, and attended a one-room schoolhouse through grade school. She graduated from Ripon College.
After teaching in Stevens Point, WI, she married Robert Riesz, whom she had met at college, in Mount Vernon, NY. They lived in Mount Vernon until 1940, when they moved to Chatham, NJ. She was a leading member of Stanley Congregational Church in Chatham, and she was active in community and school activities there.
In 1963, husband's retirement from Bell Telephone Laboratories, and his subsequent teaching career led them to Union College in Barbourville, KY, for 10 years. During that time, Mrs. Riesz worked with disadvantaged children in the region.
She and her husband moved to Pleasant Hill in June 1973, and resided on Yonside Drive. Mrs. Riesz had lived in Fletcher House of Uplands Retirement Village since 1989. While residing in Pleasant Hill, she was an active member of Pleasant Hill Community Church, and she was involved in many community projects. Survivors include her children, Richard Riesz of Pleasant Hill, Peter Riesz of Victoria, TX, John Riesz of Palm Coast, FL, and Roberta Rauch of St. Petersburg, FL; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1974.

He was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church, a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1093, Amvets Post No. 777, and the American Legion Post #250, all in Upper Sandusky. Mr. Iles was also a member of the American Legion in Crossville. He was the current president of the Crossville Chainers, and a member of the Glade Gliders and the Square Knots, all square dancing clubs in this area. In addition to square dancing, he enjoyed woodworking.

He was born in Ipava, IL, on Nov. 26, 1920. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1943, and worked as an engineer for the Manhattan District Project until entering the U.S. Army in 1944. As a radiological safety engineer, he served at Bikini Atoll, working on atom bomb tests. In 1947 Mr. Dalenberg went to work for Wickes Engineered Materials as a test engineer, becoming director of maintenance in 1950, and eventually chief engineer in 1970.
He served as an officer of NEMA; an elder in the Presbyterian Church; and company representative in a sheltered workshop in Saginaw, MI. After his retirement in 1985 Mr. Dalenberg moved to Fairfield Glade with his wife, Donna, in 1986. He became active as a volunteer fireman and avid golfer. He took second place in the Tennessee Senior Golf Olympics in 1998.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughters, Deborah, Constance and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Javier, Felipe, Carolina, Deborah, Dawn, Jeff and Julie; sisters, Lois Remer and Mary Handley; and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Hickey and Patricia Corcoran.

He was born March 5, 1933 in Trenton, OH, and raised in Franklin, OH. An accomplished athlete, Mr. Kellis graduated from Franklin High School in 1951, a three-sport letterman. He attended Kentucky Western University, where he played varsity basketball and baseball, and graduated in 1956. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
After serving in the U.S. Army, he became a salesman for Alsco Inc. in Akron, OH, eventually becoming the company's vice president of marketing. He also worked as national sales manager for Wolverine Technologies of Lincoln Park, MI. At the time of his death, Mr. Kellis was founder and president of American Manufactured Exteriors of Crossville. A recognized leader in the building products industry, he had two commercial patents to his credit.
A dedicated family man, he enjoyed golf and was an avid Civil War enthusiast and collector.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet; sons, Chris of Wadsworth, OH, and Craig of Fairfield Glade; daughter, Julie Cole of Franklin, IN; sisters, Doris Countryman of Germantown, OH, and Mary Lou Morgan of Franklin, OH; brother, Jack, of Hillsboro, OH; and four grandchildren.

A native of Harriman, TN, he was a resident of Glynn County, GA, for the past 32 years. Mr. Rash was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years, having served during World War II and two tours of Vietnam. He was also retired from the Glynn County Police Department, with 14 years of service. He was an avid camper and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Gail Rash of Brunswick; daughters, Melissa Ann Barrett of Issaquah, WA, and Priscilla Lynn Rash of Brunswick; son, Robert Lee Rash Jr. of Brunswick; sister, Priscilla Ann Groves of Crossville; brother, Frank Thomas Rash of Lawrenceburg, TN; granddaughter, Harley Barrett of Issaquah, WA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be members of the U.S. Navy.

He was born July 10, 1906 in Orange, VT, the son of Wallace and Maud Clifford Spooner.
Mr. Spooner was an electronics technician with Philco-Ford. He was a member of Mayland Senior Center, and Crossville Chess Club. He made wooden toys and crafts for 30 years.
Survivors include his son, Linwood Cunningham of Pauma Valley, CA; daughters, Marcie Bailey of the Mayland community, Carolyn Barney of East Montpelier, VT, and Janet Shields of Huntsville, AL; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; son, Jerry Cunningham; and daughter, Shirley Bailey.

He was born Dec. 10, 1909 in Cumberland County, the son of Henry and Kate Dixon Pugh.
Mr. Pugh was a retired factory worker with Crossville Rubber, and was also a factory worker in Akron, OH. He started working at the age of 10, working in timber woods, logging and teaming.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Lou Reeves and Loretta Belt, both of North Ridgeville, OH, Oma Lee Farrar of Elyria, OH, Katie Jaynes of Sumrall, MS, and Shirley Gibson, Pauline Hedgecoth, Billie Jean Reed, Rose Ann Deck and Marilyn Norrod, all of Crossville; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and cousins, Carson and Harry Pugh and Estelle Morris, all of Crossville, and Marvin Pugh of Dayton, OH.

She was born Sept. 29, 1921 in Allegan, MI, the daughter of Stevan and Agnes Donat Herpst.
Mrs. Gilliland was a graduate of Allegan High School, and later managed Sears and Roebuck Catalog Store in Allegan for many years. Her memberships included the Embroiderer's Guild of America, and the United Methodist Church and Lions Club, both of Fairfield Glade. On Sept. 12, 1969, in Otsego, she married Bernard "Bernie" Gilliland, who preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors include her son and daughter, Robert Yoakam of Otsego, Sharlene Scott Warren of Woodstock, GA; three stepchildren, Les (Sharon) Gilliland of Paris, TX, Darl (Joyce) Gilliland of Otsego, and Paul (Sue) Gilliland of Virginia Beach, VA; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Maley of Portage; brother, George Herpst of Allegan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Herpst, and a sister, Ann Herpst Basic.
A memorial service will be held in Fairfield Glade at a later date.
