Candidates lining up for elected positions

Several hopeful candidates have returned qualifying papers at the Cumberland County Election Commission office in order to seek offices in 2006. The deadline to file papers was noon yesterday, and the election commission was scheduled to meet yesterday afternoon to certify the petitions.

The following is a list of those who have returned papers seeking office in Cumberland County and those who have returned them in order to run for the office as of January 26, 2006.
